Bottle Harvest 2024

(and beyond…)

For the past 12 months, we've been working on a collaborative project, hoping to shine a light on a problem we're keen to help solve. With the chance to make some wine in 2022, we knew we had a perfect opportunity to champion our cause.

In summer 2023 we completed our first ever BOTTLE HARVEST: filling our electric van with bottles from many brilliant London venues that saved their waste for us. The team at Again cleaned the bottles, half of which were then sent to Sophie Evans in Kent to bottle her debut vintage, and the remainder to Offbeat in Salisbury, for Alex to bottle his debut OWLS WINE project.

We all produce a lot of waste in this industry.
We believe re-use is the way forward.

London is a huge centre of consumption, surrounded by newly emerging areas of production. It puts the city in a unique position: with some creative thinking across the industry, there is an opportunity here to bring bottle re-use into the loop.

We’ve proved it is possible, but we have hit a major bump.

Unfortunately, Again are currently unable to commit to a project like this any longer. Left without a bottle cleaning facility, we are now back to the drawing board in looking for a creative solution.

If you can- or know of anyone who might be able to- offer help with cleaning, funding for equipment, space for bottle storage, or any logistics help and guidance, we would love to have a chat with them, or you.

Please get in touch if you can help in any regard. Many hands!

“We proved we can collect bottles from London venues, have them cleaned, sent directly to nearby winemakers, filled with UK wines, and sent back to the bars and restaurants: and so the cycle would continue. The reuse dream is real! And so close…”
