The estate has been in the Paquereau family for four generations, since 1900. Viticulture became the sole activity of the domaine when Albert and his wife Odile took the reins in 1973. In 2000 and later 2006, Cyrille, the eldest brother and Sylvain, the youngest; stepped up to become the next generation's winemakers and run the domaine together.
The estate covers nearly 55 hectares, almost half of it devoted to Melon de Bourgogne, the rest planted with an additional 14 different varieties.
In the past, Albert and Odile had always taken the lutte raisonnée farming approach: meaning 'the reasoned struggle' (growers who practice this kind of viticulture aim to use chemicals less often and less aggressively than conventional growers), with a commitment to preserving the health & terroir of the vineyards. But it was the next generation who shouldered the bold task of taking this commitment a step further.
In 2011 Cyrille & Sylvain began the conversion to organics, winning an award for their first organic Muscdet, which spurred them on to convert the entire domaine to organic agriculture. After several years, the Paquereau's have successfully converted every plot across the 55 hectares; all the whites are certified from the 2020 vintage, with the reds receiving their certification from 2021.
Fresh, floral & fruity Sav Blanc packed with bright citrus & white flowers.
