"For the Le Pas Rouge 2019 we've had two types of macerations: one with destemmed grapes only and the other one whole bunch. The result is a Gamay with a great balance between aroma and acidity. It's a red wine which is really fresh and not heavy to drink. "
Sulfur: None added
Soil: A rich soil made of eruptive and metamorphic rocks, over a layer of sand, pebbles and clay, on top of granite and gabbro
Seventh-generation farmers Vincent and Stephane farm around 25 hectares, in and around the medieval ‘Cru’ village of Clisson. Organic conversion began in 2009. They make bright and pretty wines, with a salty vein running throughout. They have recently started experimenting with a few Tuscan amphora and gentle macerations.
