The 2020 harvest was obliterated by frosts, but somehow yielded great quality. Direct press and transferred to large German oak for 9 months before bottling.

Andi follows the same process for each of his whites: grapes are pressed directly using a combination of their 100-year-old basket press and a pneumatic press. Juice is then transferred to wooden barrels for nine months or so before bottling. Wine is aged in a combination of 30 big barrels varying between 1000 to 3000litres. This field blend is assembled in April, settled in steel tank before bottling in June.
Andi's main aim is for the wines to be fresh, reviving and for the process to be clean and errorless.

Andi Weigand is the second generation who produces wines in Weigand. While he has modernized the winery, he has also maintained tradition: every grape is picked by hand, and every wine is carefully handcrafted, with incredible attention to detail. All wines are filled without filtration or adding any sulfur.
