Very pleased to be kicking off the week here with new arrivals from Daniel & Jonas Brand, alongside a top-up of wines we've been thoroughly enjoying since they last arrived.
Predominantly from the warm, fruit-driven 2022 vintage, the wines still sing with the signature acidity: a true reflection of the brothers' commitment to soil health through diligent attention to detail in the vineyards. Enthusiasm, curiosity and a deep knowledge of their plants & their terroir make a formidable combination, and Daniel & Jonas' invigorating, unique wines continue to go from strength to strength: undoubtedly pure and direct.
New to the line-up this time round are the 2022 editions of their PINOT BLANC, and PINOT NOIR - from one of the driest vintages in the Pfalz on record, the wines continue to be both wonderfully light and intense, hugely specific to their windy, limestone hill.
We're also pleased to receive a tiny quantity for the first time in a while of FLORA - their lifted, heady, rhubarb & berry blast of Dornfelder - 50% carbonic maceration, 50% crushed and macerated, a joy to drink at this time of year.
